New York Routines

Life is full of daily routines and a lot more here in New York City. People rush to their jobs, pushing, jumping, going up and down the escalators, rushing to open the closing subway doors, smelling terrible odors spelled by unfortunate homeless people living on the streets, listening to the person by your side talking loudly on their cell phone, having lunch and someone next to your table making noises while they eat their meal, in other words, going through normal activities that people in New York are accustomed to.

From far away the city looks impeccable, it is like a tale becoming reality, like a picture from your most beautiful dreams. The city looks brilliantly said, wonderful. Especially at night, when the skyscrapers are lightened and the picture becomes something out of the normal, like it is a work of art, but art that is not real that is out of your reach. New York is the most beautiful city from far away; there is no doubt about it.

But, and this one is big 'but', once you get into the city and start walking or driving around you see a different reality. The noise from the cars, wailing sirens and people rushing around you is sometimes unbearable. You get automatically placed in a different mode, a mode of urgency, of undefined feeling of hurry. The streets are full of potholes; vapor comes out of crevasses, bringing undefined odors; masses of people almost taking you in one direction, having the sensation of being carried away by the crowd; sometimes bumping into someone and receiving the typical rudeness that make New Yorkers famous around the world.

But, and this one is another big 'but', there is nothing like New York. I know people who prefer to pay outrageous rent in order to live in Manhattan; they love the place more than their own comfort. The city enamors everyone, you feel especial, like being part of the best this world can offer you. You get the sense of being part of maybe the most wonderful city that ever existed. That's New York.

Are you a follower or a born leader?

In politics there are two types of people, followers and born leaders. The followers will follow their leader no matter what, even if it means dying or going bankrupt. Followers only go behind their hearts and rarely use their intelligence, especially on politics. Followers might be intellectuals or uneducated, but they will follow the same pattern no matter what. Followers are usually selfish; they typically don’t like their neighbor, especially if the neighbor has a better standard of life. Most followers are haters and the great majority of bigoted groups in the US are part of the followers' crowd. The followers' leaders usually don't believe what they preach, but the results and power they get from it is enough to keep telling lies and deceits.

Real born leaders on the other hand lead other smart people who know what is best for them, and they won't swallow easily lies and deceits. Born leaders usually use their brain, are educated, hard workers, compassionate, unselfish, happier, progressives and above all very optimistic, but always with their feet on the ground. Born leaders tend to believe that everyone has good intentions and sometimes will follow the wrong leader, but eventually they will realize the mistake and will take corrective measures. Followers won't, they will prefer dying than going against their 'believes'.

Followers are radical, vindictive, and tend to be violent. Followers only see through their leader's eyes. The big question is; are you a 'follower' or a 'born leader'? Guess who the republicans are.
